Last updated: 6/11/06 I flew out to Phoenix this spring to drive my Mom back to Florida for the summer. I spent a week out there and a week driving back to the cabin in Georgia where we stayed a couple of days before heading for Florida. We stopped by the Grand Canyon also. It is an absolutely amazing place to see. Here are a few pictures of the trip. My Mom and I in Tortilla Flats, Az. The first stagecoach stop in Arizona. Tortilla Flats General Store and Restaurant. The saloon in Goldfield, Az., an old gold mining ghost town turned tourist town.
Caught by the law in Goldfield.
Snow on the mountain tops in Arizona at the end of May.
A couple of elk on the side of the road near the Grand Canyon. They certainly weren't afraid of people. A few shots of the Grand Canyon. The Painted Desert.
