I sold my fishing boat in 2005 and decided to insert a little bit of speed in our water activities.  I bought the 2005 Honda R12 new.  It's nice and smooth and good for about 58 MPH.  The Yamaha is a 1997 GP1200 I found with only 120 hours of use on her.  The Yamaha is everything the Honda isn't; it's a 2-stroke triple that is loud and obnoxious, and very fast.  It's good for about 65 MPH, but that comes at a cost of fuel economy.  You'll be filling the Yamaha up twice for every once on the Honda.
