This is my 2000 Kawasaki KLR650 purchased used in August of 2003.  I had been planning a camping trip the the Smokies for my son and I and wanted to bring along a couple of enduros; the only problem being I only owned one at the time, the XT550.  I started searching the internet and classifieds and about two weeks before we were to leave I found this bike.  I had originally planned on riding the KLR because of its electric starter, but since I'm somewhat inseam challenged, opted for the XT550 instead.
